Clayton (Clay) Janson, CFP®, AIF®, and Retirement Planning Specialist, is a native of Phoenix, and founder of Phocus Financial Strategies Group, an 18-member financial services and insurance team, and has been awarded the designations of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and Accredited Investment Fiduciary.
Clay’s high energy, passion as a fiduciary, and “collaborative team approach” to financial planning allow each and every client to experience a team of highly focused & trusted professionals in financial, investment, insurance, and estate planning strategies, all under one roof.
Clay holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Arizona University and has earned the title of Retirement Planning Specialist from Equitable Advisors based on his receipt of a Certificate in Retirement Planning from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Along with his love as an active member, Major Donor, Benefactor and past Director, Secretary, & Sergeant At Arms for his local Rotary Club (Phoenix Rotary 100), Clay has also spent time on the board of the Friends of the Phoenix Public Library & raising donations for Junior Achievement of Arizona, Smiles 4 Sick Children, Elevate Phoenix, and Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors.
Clay is honored to have been recognized with The Amicus Award from the Phoenix Public Library, the Barry M. Lofquist/Kirk Jones Memorial Award & the Core Values Award from the Equitable Advisors Southwest Branch, and most recently the Regional Honor Associate Award – Western Region from the Equitable Advisors Old Guard.
Living in the heart of North Central Phoenix, Clay and his wife, Lindsey, are the proud parents of two amazing kids, and love making family memories snowboarding, Scouting, Geocaching, traveling, and laughing together. Clay is an Eagle Scout, a serial entrepreneur, and always enjoys a great audio book.
