Frederick (Fred) Hill is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, and an Enrolled Agent, admitted to practice before the Internal Revenue Service. Fred joined Phocus Companies in January 2024, as a Financial Planner and Advisor, helping clients establish and achieve their financial goals through comprehensive planning.
Previously, Fred spent more than twenty-five years in corporate America as a lawyer, lobbyist, and chief marketing & communications officer. During that time, he worked for JPMorgan Chase, The Boeing Company (formerly McDonnell Douglas), and Westinghouse Electric Corporation as the CMO, reporting directly to seven different CEOs.
Earlier in his career, Fred taught at the University of Pittsburgh as an Adjunct Professor for ten years, practiced law, served on the Pardons Board of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, The Pennsylvania Supreme Court Disciplinary Board, and the Pennsylvania Judicial Conduct Board. He served for four years as a Pennsylvania State Trooper.
Fred is honored to have been recognized by Black Enterprise Magazine (Top 50 Black Corporate Executives) and the Commerce Department (Ron Brown Community Award). In 2019, Fred was featured as a Trendsetter in AZ Foothills Magazine.
Fred, who is an avid cyclist and a certified bike technician, lives in Scottsdale Arizona, with his Yellow Lab, Grace. He is a member and frequent volunteer at Impact Church, and a Life Member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
